I've just been discussing with some friends of mine how we might go about growing our own crops and swapping produce if we're successful. I shall look to your blog for inspiration :).https://www.blogger.com/profile/03922877701955974314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23047857.post-44154420367034230452008-05-10T11:39:00.000+01:002008-05-10T11:39:00.000+01:00Do you have any of these peas left? I;ve looked everywhere and I am sure the Heritage society IS the only source for this seed, and they won't ship internationally.

Julianna
julianna.lindsay@gmail.comKatkoothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12165342896298946047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23047857.post-34437262795958123862008-01-08T16:37:00.000+00:002008-01-08T16:37:00.000+00:00Thanks Matron. The seed was from one of the Seed Swap members in the HSL catalogue. I grew Purple Podded Peas in my first veg garden in the 80s - my Dad obtained the seed fron Unwins at Histon near Cambridge. I think these are the same variety.

I'm hoping to get Victorian Purple Podded from the HSL this year.

Thanks for another informative Heritage Veg Review.

Celia

PS If you would like to do a seed swap, I have Runner Bean Salford Black and Climbing Bean Poletschka (from Ukraine) both originally from the HSL and have done very well in my garden.
