I'm just very good at cramming stuff in!

Thanks Salix Tree. As you've publicly admitted leaving tubers in the ground from last year I feel morally bound to do the same. I confess a couple of my current crops are the result of my being too lazy to harvest them properly last year. But as you say, they seem quite happy growing like that ... I've been getting good yields and no problems.

Hi John,
Actually I've never bought seed potatoes (only microplants) from Chase because they're a bit pricey (as they have to factor in the cost of postage). I found a local nursery that sells a large range of unusual varieties, so my main stock comes from there, and I pick up unusual ones wherever I find them. My Fortyfold and Edzell Blue both originated from Waitrose!

PS For anyone who hasn't found it yet, John's blog is very informative with lovely photos.Rebsie Fairholmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17811733792196954188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23047857.post-1153828945040734762006-07-25T13:02:00.000+01:002006-07-25T13:02:00.000+01:00I'm always bowled over by the beauty and diversity...I'm always bowled over by the beauty and diversity of potato flowers and also stem/halum shade.

Who is your favourite seed potato supplier? Actually, my crop this year came from the leftover potatoes still in the ground. Must have missed those when I dug them up. They look nice and healthy. I had to move my bush beans from thier plot, as the potatoes were taking over!Silvia Hoefnagels .
